“Where the Son Always Shines”

Following the “Trail of Hope” found in His grace and mercy

Ministry Update September 2018

Dear Friends,

Jesus said…”it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish.” (Matthew 18:14)

Again, the words of Jesus, “Let the children come to me.  Don’t stop them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)

Jesus’ love for children in an age when they weren’t highly regarded is a powerful reminder.  It is a reminder of God’s love for what the world often abuses and abandons.  We are called to love the unloved, the forgotten, the abused and neglected. Why? because that is what Israel was in Egypt and that is what Jesus was at Calvary and that is what we are without grace. (Romans 5:6-11)

Smoky Trail 2018 wasn’t without challenges, testing and refining.  There are dark forces in this world that are working against everything we stand for, doing everything in their power to put up barriers between the children and the Good News of Jesus.

All glory be to God again as He has shown us sweet salvation together with healing, hope and redemption.  Doors have been opened for the ministry to be able to serve many of the children throughout the year, for us to be able to journey with the children through the healing process.  Many deep hurts were revealed at camp, we can now start to address the pain and anxiety in their hearts.

We at Smoky Trail Camp send out a Chi-Miigwech (big thank you) to all of you; our supporters and prayer partners, without all of you it would be impossible for Smoky Trail Camp to operate in the fashion it does and because of the camp and local boys & girls clubs we are able to form many solid relationships and have younger siblings counting the years until they are old enough to come to camp.  Praise the Lord for His amazing grace and never-ending Love.

How we thank God, who gives us victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ our Lord!!!  So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and steady always enthusiastic about the Lord’s work, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.  (1Corinthians 15:57-58)

Christian Love & Blessings
