Smoky Trail Native Bible Camp is Christ centered Bible ministries with a primary focus on reaching First Nation children and teens. It is our prayer that through this ministry boys and girls are brought to a relationship with Jesus Christ and His love for them.
Georgian Native & Outreach Ministries was founded in June of 1998 by Hugh and Carol Hamp along with the first board members being Denise Campbell, Catherine McNeice, Dennis Miner and Ray Smith. The focus of the ministry was the preaching and teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the founding of campgrounds for First Nation People and other marginalized and disadvantaged in society. The camps operate under the name Smoky Trail Native Bible Camp.
Our staff are chosen for their personal commitment to Jesus Christ and their desire to serve Him by ministering to the First Nations young people of the Georgian Bay perimeter, north along Hwy 11 and inner city native children from various locations. They are recruited from Churches, Bible Schools and Christian home school groups.
Support – Prayer and financial support are enlisted from interested individuals and churches. This makes it possible for most of the children to attend camp.
Prayer Partners – Concerned individuals, churches, and church groups sponsor native children from the reserves and inner cities. Each child has at least one prayer partner (group) who receives his or her short description. Partners are also needed for our native staff and junior staff.
Camp Needs – Every camp will have some needs that you may donate to or participate in. This might include food, activity and craft material or sport equipment.
